What is Birdie?

  • Birdie is the first clean on-demand beauty services platform that connects you with the highest quality, thoroughly vetted, licensed cosmetologists, in order to perform on location beauty services. 

What are Birdie’s Safety Procedures?

  • Birdie is proud to provide the safest option for your beauty service needs. In addition to following all of the CDC guidelines/procedures, Birdie has also implemented additional safety protocols to keep you, your family, and our flock of professionals feeling safe and healthy. These include: face masks, disposable shoe covers, disposable gloves, pre service and post service sanitation, health screenings, temperature checks, and daily disinfecting protocols. When can I book a Birdie?

  • Birdie has the most flexible booking window of any on-demand beauty service. Book any day of the week between 5am-11pm in as little as one hour. 

Where can I book a Birdie? 

  • Book a birdie anywhere! At your home, to your gym, at your office, or wherever you may be! Birdie will fly to you in any one of our service locations. You can double check if you are in one of our locations by verifying your address on the checkout page! 

How do I book a Birdie?

  • Booking is as easy as 1-2-3. Start by downloading the Birdie app, then select the services you are interested in receiving (including a full suite of customizations), your location, preferred date/time/professional, your payment details, click submit, and viola! You’ve just submitted your first Birdie booking request, let’s celebrate with some wine.

Is Birdie a mobile vehicle?

  • No we are not. Birdie provides on-demand mobile services to fixed locations including but not limited to homes, gyms, offices, apartments and hotels etc.

What is a Birdie Pro?

  • Birdie Pros (short for professionals) are the thoroughly vetted and highly skilled independent, licensed cosmetologists who deliver services to Birdie clients. Birdie has the most rigorous vetting process of any on-demand beauty service! Birdie Pros must pass a rigorous background check, a customer service cultural assessment, technical skills assessment, an in person interview and a hands on practical prior to being accepted onto the Birdie platform.

Can I add a friend(s) to my appointment?

  • Yes! Girls night has never been more fun. With Birdie, you can add up to 4 main services from the same category to your order! For a more specialized event or additional friends, contact our customer service team at: mamabird@bookabirdie.app

Pricing and Services: 

  • Birdie offers a variety of services ranging from bikini waxing to blowouts. To view our pricing, service list, descriptions, and estimated time to complete a service, check out the Birdie service list from the home page by clicking on any category you wish!

Blowouts: What should I do prior to my appointment?

  • Shampoo 10-15 minutes before your appointment so hair is clean and damp (not soaking wet) when your stylist arrives. Select a location for your stylist to setup that is near an outlet with good lighting and a flat working space for the Birdie Stylist.

Haircuts: What should I do prior to my appointment?

  • Shampoo 10-15 minutes before your appointment so hair is clean and damp (not soaking wet) when your stylist arrives. Select a location for your stylist to setup that is near an outlet with good lighting and a flat working space for the Birdie Stylist. 

Makeup: What should I do prior to my appointment?

  • Wash face 10-15 minutes before your appointment so that face is clean and free of any oils, residue, or makeup. Do not put on any oils, lotions, or moisturizers until your artist arrives to ensure there will not be any contraindications with the makeup techniques or products being used. Select a location for your Birdie Pro to setup that is near an outlet, with good lighting and a flat working space for the Birdie Stylist. 

Facials: What should I do prior to my appointment?

  • Wash face 10-15 minutes before your appointment so that face is clean and free of any oils, residue, or makeup. Do not put on any oils, lotions, or moisturizers or perform any microblading, masks, or other facial treatments at least 24 hours prior to your appointment. Select a location for your Birdie Pro to setup that is near an outlet, with good lighting and a flat working space for the Birdie Stylist. 

Massage: What should I do prior to my appointment?

  • Select a location for your Birdie pro to setup that is large enough for a massage table, near an outlet, has good lighting, drink plenty of water before and plenty of water after your service to help flush out any toxins.

What products do Birdie Professionals use? 

  • Birdie Pros carry a hand picked selection of all clean, 100% vegan, cruelty and chemical free, non-toxic R+Co, Odacité, and California Baby.

Can I use my own products?

  • Of course! Just let your Birdie Pro know before your service begins, during your consultation.

What if I am unhappy after a service?

  • While we don’t anticipate this occurring, if it does happen, we want to know and we want to make it right. Please send us an email to: mamabird@bookabirdie.app

How do I pay and leave gratuity?

  • Payments are processed at the end of your appointment. When your appointment finishes, open up the app to add gratuity, rate and leave feedback for your Birdie Pro! 

What if I forget to leave gratuity? 

  • No time? No problem! A 20% gratuity will automatically be applied to your service after 24 hours has passed if you haven’t selected a different amount prior.

Can I pay with cash? 

  • Birdie is a cashless service!

Do you store my payment information? 

  • No. We use a third-party processor (Stripe) to securely process all transactions. Birdie does not store any financial information.

What is the credit card processing fee? 

  • Birdie uses a secure third party (Stripe) to process and secure all financial transactions; the ‘processing fee’ is their service fee.

What is your cancellation policy? 

  • Cancelling an appointment within 24 hours of the start time will incur a 100% cancellation fee. 

What if I need to reschedule my appointment? 

  • Changing an appointment within two hours of the start time may incur a surcharge unless rescheduled to the same day with the same Birdie Pro. 

Do you cater to groups (parties, bridal showers etc) or corporate events?
